Where to start for each LPG conversion type

Route 1

Appliance converted to LPG

Use a provider whose attending engineer has the relevant Gas Safe registration, LPG and appliance categories where the work is within Gas Safe requirements. The exact model and manufacturer-supported conversion evidence must be checked.

Route 2

New or altered LPG installation

Use a provider competent for the setting and equipment: property, catering unit, caravan, trailer or commercial premises. Send the original work history, supply, pipework, appliances, ventilation and required record before booking.

Route 3

Vehicle engine or Autogas

Use a competent automotive LPG converter. This is outside Upkeepone's appliance and property conversion service. Check GOV.UK road-vehicle requirements and ask the insurer or licensing authority which evidence it needs.

"We can sign off somebody else's work"

Can any Gas Safe registered engineer issue LPG conversion paperwork?
