LPG certificate booking help
Start with the installation, not the document name
Start with the installation—not the document name. Send the setting, every LPG appliance, supply arrangement, postcode, access and the reason evidence has been requested.
A properly scoped enquiry
How to get LPG safety paperwork without booking the wrong visit
"LPG certificate" is a useful starting phrase, but it does not identify one universal document. These four steps keep the booking tied to the real installation and the evidence you have been asked to provide.
Describe the setting
State whether this is a property, catering unit, caravan, holiday unit, commercial premises or another LPG installation.
Declare the full setup
List every appliance and explain the cylinder, bottle or bulk-tank supply. Include photos and previous paperwork where useful.
Match the engineer
The engineer's current Gas Safe work categories must cover LPG, the setting, the appliances and the work being requested.
Inspect and record
The engineer attends, completes the agreed checks and records the real outcome. A favourable result is not sold in advance.
Start with why the evidence is needed
The requester and setting shape the inspection route
Landlord or managed property
Send the tenancy or management context, property type, all gas appliances and the due date. Landlord duties should not be confused with a general appliance service.
Mobile catering or an event
Send the trading unit, appliance schedule, bottle and regulator arrangement, venue or organiser wording, access and the date evidence is required.
Caravan, park home or holiday unit
Explain whether the unit is privately used, rented, managed or subject to park requirements, and list the fixed LPG appliances and supply arrangement.
Commercial installation
Identify the premises, plant or catering equipment, operational constraints, responsible contact and any insurer, workplace or facilities requirement.
Prepare the enquiry once
Send enough detail for the route, engineer and quote to be checked

A certificate is an outcome, not a product guaranteed before inspection
The booking confirms an agreed inspection scope. It does not guarantee that the installation will pass, that a particular form can be signed or that faults can be repaired during the same visit.
If a fault is found, the engineer should explain the safety action and the next step. Parts, repair work, further investigation or a return inspection may need a separate quote.

Check competence, not only the badge
The engineer's categories must match the actual LPG work
Gas Safe Register explains that not every registered engineer is qualified for every type of gas work. Before work begins, the business and engineer can be checked against the appliance type and work required.
For LPG, the setting matters too. A domestic property, commercial catering unit, caravan and other specialist installation should not be treated as interchangeable.
