ELECTRIC BOILER FAULT ENQUIRIES
Electric boiler repairs
Tell us what has stopped working.
Whether there is no heating, no hot water or an unfamiliar message on the display, describe the change you have noticed. Include your postcode and boiler details if known so we can check the repair enquiry and engineer availability.
Describe the fault in your own words
You do not need to identify the failed part before contacting us. Explain what the boiler normally does and what is different now. For example, tell us whether heating, hot water or both are affected, or whether the fault comes and goes.
- The property postcode and whether it is a home or business premises.
- The boiler make and model, if you already know them or can read them safely from outside the appliance.
- The exact display message or fault code, if there is one.
- When the problem began, how often it happens and any recent work you know about.
- Anything you can see without opening the boiler, such as a visible leak or a change on the display.
- Access arrangements, occupancy, parking and any timing restrictions.
If a detail is unknown, say so. Photographs of the display or appliance exterior can help with an enquiry, but only take them where it is safe. Leave covers and electrical parts alone.
Keep the enquiry separate from electrical work
Stop using equipment that appears unsafe and have it checked by a competent person. Do not open the boiler casing or handle exposed electrical parts to prepare for a repair enquiry. Do not take risks to reach a switch or control.
HSE says electrical work requires competence appropriate to the task. Reporting the symptoms helps arrange the right assessment; it is not an instruction to diagnose or repair the appliance yourself.

From fault enquiry to an agreed visit
1. Report the problem
Send the information you have
Use the callback form, call or email with the postcode and fault history. An error code or model number is useful when known, but a description is still a starting point.
2. Review the request
Check the appliance and attendance
The details help us consider the work involved, access, travel and availability of an appropriately qualified engineer. Further information may be needed before the next step is agreed.
3. Confirm the arrangements
Agree the scope and quotation
Confirm what any initial assessment includes and what it costs. Ask how parts, additional investigation or a further visit would be priced if needed.
A callback request starts an enquiry. The findings and any work required determine the repair options; a successful repair on the first visit cannot be promised.
Electric boiler repair enquiries in London, Essex and Kent
London, Essex and Kent are the priority areas for regular repair enquiries. Hertfordshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Sussex are also covered, with other UK areas considered by request.
Attendance depends on the postcode, installation, access, travel and availability of an appropriately qualified engineer. Send the full postcode when you enquire so the location can be checked.
Qualifications for the work involved
Our engineers are qualified and registered with NAPIT and NICEIC where applicable. The engineer and qualifications must be appropriate to the appliance and the repair work; scheme names alone do not confirm that a particular job can be accepted.

Electric boiler repair questions
Can I enquire without the boiler model or a fault code?
Yes. Describe what has changed and when it started, and send the property postcode. Add the make, model or display message if you already know it. You do not need to open the appliance to find information before contacting us.
How much does an electric boiler repair cost?
Request a quotation using the details of your boiler and the problem. Confirm the charge for any initial assessment, what it includes and how parts or extra work would be priced. The cost cannot be established from the words “boiler not working” alone.
Can you promise to repair the boiler on the first visit?
A first-visit repair cannot be promised. What happens next depends on the findings, the appliance, the work needed and any required parts. Sending an enquiry does not confirm a successful repair or reserve an appointment.
Is this the right page if my boiler runs on gas?
This page is for electric boilers. For a natural-gas or LPG boiler, use our central heating services page and tell us which fuel the appliance uses. The enquiry needs to be matched to the appropriate engineer and work.
Where should I enquire about replacing the electric boiler?
Use our electric boiler installation page if you are planning a replacement or a new installation. That route asks for the proposed boiler and existing system details, while this page deals with faults affecting an appliance already in place.
Start with the postcode and the problem
Tell us where the boiler is and what has changed. Include the make, model and any display message if known, along with the best way to contact you.
You can also call 01245 206422 or email info@upkeepone.co.uk. The enquiry is reviewed before a quotation and visit can be confirmed.
